Here is what I have for the back summary so far. Please read and comment, giving suggestions, comments, fixing errors, etc.
The hourglass has been in use as early as the 11th century, usually consisting of sand that transfers from one glass to another through a narrow tube. This simple device is used to measure amounts of time reliably and is still in use today, but are there secrets of the hourglass that have not yet been discovered? Could this common item transport beings from one dimension to another or bond with the spirit of a dragon? Is it possible that the hourglass could have hidden, mystical powers? Or perhaps the hourglass is just another of the many items strewn across a desk…
Seems good to me. I can’t think of anything that may be added at the moment.
I LOVE it. Yeah. The cover art, I mean. Back cover thing mostly works….seems incomplete somehow.
Cool summary. Liz gave me an awesome idea for my hourglass story. She truly is a gift from heaven. Her idea’s, anyway 😛 .
Hehe, I love the summary -sorry I couldn’t stop by sooner, I have been grounded from the computer =/- But the main problem I am finding with it is this sentence:

It seems like it could be broken up to show and break the two sides of the point. Like say, This simple device is used to measure amounts of time reliably and is still in use today. Yet are there secrets of the hourglass that have not yet been discovered?

My idea (or, rather, Liz’s :D) is a murder mystery, and in the process, a priceless hourglass is found shattered. Who was the culprit?
