Moderators ensure that chat is up to the standards of the broadcaster by removing offensive posts and spam that detracts from conversations. They are identified in chat with green swords and can use commands to remove posts and alter chat.
Advertisements
Advertisements help earn ad- and affiliate-revenue, which helps the livestreams continue to thrive. Video advertisements should be played during breaks. Text advertisements can be triggered any time, in moderation.

Moderators are given access to the #moderators channel in Noelle’s Nocturnals Discord Server. This channel is used for moderator discussion and important updates. All moderators are expected to keep up-to-date with this channel and read all relevant messages.
Important messages will be tagged with @moderators. Moderators are expected to read these messages and add a reaction in order to show acknowledgement of the update.

Quotes
Quotes are amusing phrases said by Noelle, usually on a Twitch livestream or within a Discord Weekly voicechat. Quotes can be added by anyone, but only moderators can edit or delete them.
Quotes should include proper spelling and grammar, so moderators are expected to edit a quote for errors, once noticed.
Please discuss deleting quotes in the #moderators channel of the “Noelle’s Nocturnals” Discord server before doing so.

Rules
Moderators should be familiar with Noelle’s rules and exemplify them as role models within the community. Moderators should help create a positive, inclusive environment by welcoming newcomers, answering questions, posting relevant commands, and starting friendly conversation.
Moderators should remove offending posts from NoelleMBrooks’ Twitch channel by warning, timing-out, and banning offenders quietly, swiftly, and discretely. In the “Noelle’s Nocturnals” Discord server, offenders should be given a warning and referred to the rules. Once warned, an offender should have the “Warning” role applied. If the “Warning” role is already applied, the “On-Probation” role should be applied. Lastly, if the “On Probation” role is applied, the user should be banned from the server.

Technical Issues
Occasionally, Noelle’s livestream will experience technical issues, such as lagging, buffering, and crashing. During these moments, moderators should thank viewers for their patience and assure them that the livestream will resume shortly. Once the technical difficulties have been resolved, moderators should help make announcements and inform viewers to refresh their video players, if necessary.
