StreamAvatars

Digital Media, Pixel Art Animation

StreamAvatars is a stream overlay content creation tool compatible with Twitch, Mixer, and YouTube that adds flair to a live video broadcast and promotes viewer interaction and channel growth. StreamAvatars can be purchased on the Steam Store Page.

Viewers can personalize and control their chosen avatars in various ways by issuing commands into the stream’s chat. Loyalty points can be earned by hanging around and winning mini-games.

StreamAvatars is fully customizable allowing users to create custom avatars and background elements. Custom work can be shared with the community on the Steam Community Hub Workshop.

Default Actions

StreamAvatars has several default actions with pre-determined animations that can optionally be customized. Custom actions can also be created, allowing for an infinite amount of possibilities!

Open Folder and export avatar’s .zip folder to the Import folder.

Select the avatar to Import from the dropdown menu.

Select the Avatar to customize from the dropdown menu.

Set the Scale between 0.1-5 to change the avatar’s overall size.

Set the Move Speed between 0-25 to change the avatar’s walking speed.

Select the Allowed Gears for the avatar to wear from the dropdown menu.

Use the Palette Editor to customize the avatar’s colors.

Change the name of custom Actions.

Actions 1-5 must remain:

  1. Idle
  2. Walk
  3. Sit
  4. Stand
  5. Jump

Set the FPS (frames per second) between 1-60 to change the speed of the action.

To create a new palette, type a name and click Create.

Select the Palette to edit from the dropdown menu.

Set the avatar’s Original Color Palette by selecting each color individually using the color selector on the left.

Exit Palette Editor when finished customizing colors.

Actions

Custom actions can be used to create temporary transformations.

Transforming Ditto

Create a Ditto avatar and create the basic actions uploaded with their corresponding Ditto animations, such as Idle, Walk, Sit, Stand, Jump, Attack, Dance, and Hug. Then, create custom Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle actions and upload an idle animation of each Pokémon for each action.

When a user activates the Bulbasaur action, the Ditto will transform into an idling Bulbasaur until the user activates another action.

Mega-Evolving Charizard

Create a Charizard avatar and create the basic actions uploaded with their corresponding animations, such as Idle, Walk, Sit, Stand, Jump, Attack, Dance, and Hug. Then, create custom Mega-Charizard-X and Mega-Charizard-Y actions and upload an idle animation of each Mega Pokémon for each action.

When a user activates the Mega-Charizard-X action, the Charizard will transform into an idling Mega Charizard X until the user activates another action.
