I had just logged on to Magic Pens at the school today and on my other home computer which I rarely ever use today, and found that my header picture was being cut in half. I figured out why this was happening and fixed the problem, but I would like to ask. Are there any problems with my blog? Were you viewing the header how it was supposed to be or was it cut in half for you too?

Today for my English class, we were given the assignment to write a few non-fictional paragraphs that did not make up a story, such as our thoughts on something. The topic was for each of us to decide. Here is my piece.
It is interesting how a person can use mere words to describe the abundant amount of ideas and thoughts that linger in his mind. However he twists and uses his words is also very important and can change the way another person takes them in. When writing, one lacks the visual image and emphasis that he can add to his chosen words and is forced to carefully plan out what he wants to tell his reader.

Using words skillfully can create amazing stories for people to enjoy and can deliver the creative thoughts that are forming in one’s mind. Transferring one’s thoughts into words that share the idea in a full understanding brings great pride and joy to the writer and possibly even the reader. Each time a writer spread words across a page, he is granted with the wonderful feeling of knowing that he has given another piece of his thoughts to someone else, enabling that person to understand him, even just a bit more.
Great writers enjoy watching their created characters come alive as they live and breathe in their own fictional lands. When a writer has successfully shared his creations with others, the readers can live alongside his characters and feel what they feel. As the readers feel a connection with the characters, they begin to bond with them and the author, all through the scribbles on a page.
Together, the reader and the characters can venture new worlds, overcome great obstacles, feel the same emotions, and relate to one another. An entirely new person can come alive through the skilled use of words and can even help others find new characters within themselves.
Words can bring about strong thoughts and gentle ones at the same time. It is how the words are used, which are chosen, and how the reader receives them that truly delivers the message. Anything can be shared through writing, just as anything can be received through reading.

This week I feel my inspiration slowly seeping back into me, although I’m not exactly sure why…Maybe this new layout is inspiring me.
Anyways, this week from August 19, 2007 to August 25, 2007, I have written a meager 631 words.
I only read one chapter of Timeline, written by Michael Crichton.
I’ll try to do better this week. I can’t wait for our next meeting and for all the new memebrs to join!
I have a new layout! Of course you’ve already noticed, but I’ve finished. 🙂 I really like the layout this time, but of course I say that every time I make a new layout, and then I get bored of it and make another one. Anyway, this layout, (if you haven’t already noticed,) is kind of space and stars themed. I’ve got the starry background with my fursona, hyperwires, jumping over my blog, somewhat shattering it or something in the header and stars all over the place. The comments are star-themed, along with the Search Button and the Search Form, and the music is Clocks by Coldplay, one of my favorite songs. There’s also some star dividers and pictures here and there…I hope that you all like it!
Today in my English class, we were messing around with hyperboles, which got me thinking…I’m going to write a bunch of sentences after this paragraph and your job is to find the 7 that are false about me. (This means that the other 13 are true.) Just comment your guesses and when I get a good amount of guesses and such, I will post the answers. Let’s see how this turns out. 😛
Okay…I decided to do a new layout, and I’m kind of messing around with it right now, testing out different things. It is most likely under construction as you read this…I’ll get on it later. I’ve got to do chores, take a shower, and get some sleep for school tomorrow. Ugh…
I was thinking recently that my layout now is kind of getting boring…That’s a little odd since when I first put it up, I thought it was the most awesome layout, (not ever, but pretty awesome,) and now it’s just not that cool. I think that I might create a new layout for my blog which might actually inspire me to write more. Yah! 😀 Let’s hope for the best! Anyway, I’m not sure when it will be done, (if done at all,) because I have a lot of other requests and such from other people that I still have to do… Gah!
Last week from August 5 to August 11, 2007, I had written about 1,365 words on Magic Pens, most of it published.
This week from August 12 to August 19, 2007, I wrote about 675 words on Magic Pens, none of it published.
I am really hoping that I will resume my writing when school starts and such. I am sorry that I haven’t been on for the past few days, but my internet was mysteriously out…
As I am sure that you noticed, I haven’t been writing much this summer. I have written a few My Thoughts and scribbled my story for the End of the Year Book, but it wasn’t really that much. Once again, I really don’t know why, but I have got a clue now…
Of course, all my best thinking is done at night, lying in bed, when I should be sleeping. It was around midnight last night and I knew that I would have to wake up at 6:30 AM today, but I couldn’t sleep. Too many thoughts were brewing around in my mind, which put me in the perfect mood to write. That’s the best time that I write, also. It’s all dark and quiet. Everybody in my house is asleep and I can just write without having to worry about…anything.
I was thinking last night, and I realized something…I tend to take one thing in at a time, but I take it all in. For example, when I am at dinner with a plate of food before me, I will eat all of one food first before moving on to the next. I noticed that I am like that in real life also.
I am sure that you can all remember how much and how often I was writing towards the middle of the school year. Well, I also have a guild to run and a few websites. At that time, I was doing a lot of writing, but never worked on my website, hardly drew for fun (besides pointless five-minute doodles,) and visited my guild about once a day. Towards the end of the school year and all this summer basically, the flowing river of writings from me has ceased to a trickle. I am sure that most of you thought that I had disappeared and wasting away my summer to nothing, or was going on vacation or something…I wasn’t. My vacation was actually cancelled and I have been home every day this summer except for four days. To read more on that, visit My Thoughts – June 12, 2007. I have been busy with other things. I just figured out that my computer came with a way better movie maker than the one that I had been using, and since my family and I have been visiting the zoo lately, I made some more videos. For a few weeks or so, I did nothing but make videos and stuff. I also made my first two animations recently. I am very proud of my second one. Please take a moment to visit my YouTube account. After the video phase that I went through, I changed to drawing and my guild. I have been promising my guild that once we reached 100 members, I would throw a big internet party called the 100 Member Bash. Our number of members had been constantly changing from as low as 85 all the way up to 96, but it just wouldn’t reach 100. I created an entire new Guild Website on the 7th of June this summer, in hopes that it would attract new members and just because our old Guild Website really sucked. I also kicked everybody off of my Guild Council and took some applications from new people since the old Guild Council was inactive. I’ve got a new Guild Council now that is way better, helpful, active, and nice. We finally reached 100 members which meant that I had to throw that big party that I had promised. I gave every active member 2 free Game Points (which can be turned in for prizes on the Guild Website,) and a plushie to add to their collection since my guild is The Plushie Collectors Guild. On top of that, I created a 100 Member Bash celebration video on YouTube with my brother, (who is also in my guild.) You can take a moment to watch it…It’s pretty funny.
Afterwards, I was busy working on the new Guild Website and was constantly drawing pictures also. A few of my pictures are pictured here. Please be aware that a few of these are unfinished.
I also learned a bit more CSS and started making my own custom userlookups. I created one for one of my accounts first and then had many people asking me for one. I have only finished three so far, but I have two more on a waiting list.
So I am still working on those userlookup requests, but I also wanted to redo my guild’s layout since it was totally destroyed. I had coded it in HTML, but the webhost switched the entire website to CSS, totally screwing up all my HTML. I had to redraw a completely new layout and recode it with CSS, but luckily I have been learning more, and it wasn’t that difficult. This is what I came up with just yesterday. I created a new mascot for the guild which is Kottiou, the creature sitting near the bottom and made it to where every plank on that wooden sign to the left is clickable and will take the viewer to a different page related to the guild. I am very proud of this new layout. 🙂

So anyway, my point with this post was to just show you guys what I’ve been working on this summer and to show that although I wasn’t writing, I wasn’t wasting my time…I hope that I will start to write some more really soon.
