All right, I have been sitting here at my computer for about 3 hours, just thinking. I think that I might have come up with a great new story combining some of the ideas that I have had for a while, including the ones shared in my It all Started with the Bushes… post. I am still working out some of the kinks and such, but I will hopefully get the first chapter of it posted soon. That would be so awesome!

I do not feel like writing…The words will just not come. I sit here typing under the veil of darkness, not knowing what will come of it. My hands clack on, my mind rambling on…nothing coming…nothing at all. Why am I in this slump? Why is my mind so blank. I stare at the white before me that corrupts into my thoughts. The ideas and creativity leaves, abandoning the nothing left behind. Why is this? Why do I sit and let the ideas slip away? Where do they go? Why don’t they come back? Why do they return to me once I leave this place? I float through the world, observing, and thinking. My mind can never be shut off, even under the covers late at night, but why is it that I come here, to this blank screen, and all of that leaves me? With a piano ringing through my ears, and the darkness soothing my eyes, the gleam of the screen is like a barrier to my words. I can not form them, cannot plot, no story will come. My thoughts flow through my hands and across the keyboard jaggedly as I type. The messages are unclear. The ideas are unfinished. The creation in whole is incomplete with gashes and holes, waiting to be filled. My words come quickly as a poem flows along with the waters of a river, although they may not make much sense. The words are jumbled, with the thoughts behind them not very supportive. I am weak. I am unstable. I am empty. My mind…is…

I have thought of this many times before, but when I played dodgeball in gym today, I actually felt like writing about it. Let’s see if I can do it!

I believe that any randomized gym class could easily win a match of dodgeball if they broke each person into “jobs,” each with a special ability with only one thing to worry about. I will create a fake gym class based off of my own to demonstrate.

Okay, so this is my science homework for tonight. Write an ending to this story in three paragraphs, one explaining why Katrina thinks it’s alive, another why she thinks it’s dead, and the last her final decision and the conclusion. The first block-quoted part is the part that was not written by me, but by my science book.

Katrina peered at the…thing…in front of her. Definitely unusual. Peculiar even. She has walked this path a thousand times in the three months she’s lived here and had never seen anything like this before.

Just to let you know, this is from my science book. I didn’t write this, but it makes for a great story idea. Try to write your version or ending to this story.

“The Grapes of Wrath” by John Steinback

This week from October 21 to October 27, 2007, I wrote a total of about 2,132 words.

I also read the last 198 pages of Timeline written by Michael Crichton and the first 156 pages of The Grapes of Wrath written by John Steinbeck.

All day I have been coming up with some ideas for some stories, so I am going to follow Mr. Gifford’s instructions and scribble a few of them down because I don’t actually have the time to write. (I have to babysit from 6:00AM-5:00PM tomorrow, and yes, that means that I can’t make it to Matt’s party.) These are all separate thoughts for separate stories and will not entirely make sense to you…

  • dragon coming out of nowhere on a drive in the middle of nowhere
  • an area that nobody ever crosses by a village
  • related can only see the ghost
  • It’s the start of another day at school and Lindsey is slouching in her desk in the back corner of her classroom, waiting for the school day to end. She hangs her head down low and avoids eye contact with other people as she quietly suffers through her fears. She doesn’t have many friends, if any at all, and she’s often alone during school. Although it may seem as if she wishes to be alone, she secretly desires for a friend. Most people, however, tend to ignore the shy girl, actually confirming her negative thoughts that nobody likes her or wants to talk to her. Nobody tries to break through her nervous exterior to find the true person within or even pauses to greet her with a smile. No one tries to understand her, and sadly, she may not even understand herself. Shyness is not only a characteristic trait; it is related to many different medical disorders, conditions, diseases, phobias, and anxieties and can lead to many more problems in life. Before anyone can understand the diseases and phobias shyness relates to, one must first understand what shyness is and the points of its extremities with social phobia as the most extreme case of shyness. Maybe after the knowledge of shyness and its related problems has been discovered, the world will be more understanding to the strange case.

There were only about 10 people at the meeting that took place on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at the Bagel Stop/Book Nook at 1:00PM. Elizabeth and Sherry’s moms were there too, so they helped us come up with a few good ideas. As many of you already know, Mr. Gifford wasn’t at the meeting due to personal reasons, so I was left to speak at the meeting, along with Matt who was there a short amount of time.

This week from October 14 to October 20, 2007, I have written a total of 5,516 words due to the research paper from English class and the meeting that we held on Saturday, October 20, 2007.

I will be posting a meeting overview of the meeting once I am finished typing this up, so look for it soon.

Oh, and I also read like 20 pages or so from Timeline written by Michael Crichton.

All right…I was talking with my dad and subjects changed and linked on and on until we reached birthdays on September 11. We were talking about how we knew two people with a birthday then, and then went on to other strange days to have a birthday. Of course, having a birthday on February 29, the Leap Year day, came up. Just then, I explained that perhaps a person from the future had somehow set up a time-travel organization thing with Leap Year, and then burst out, (as I frequently do,) “I should write a story about it!” Sometimes I actually do end up writing the story which leads to some strange stuff that I have on my blog such as The War Had Begun.

So, I may actually think of a cool plot to go with my strange idea and actually write a story about it. That would be cool! 😀

Yay for me…I wrote a total of 3,628 words from October 7 to October 13, 2007, and that’s only because of the research paper for English class. 🙁

I was so swamped with homework once again. Seriously, what is frickin’ up with this year!? Gah, I have been doing homework from 4:00pm (when I get home from school,) until 10:30pm, (when I go to bed,) every single school night! That’s just not right…I haven’t had time for anything lately, and I am just so stressed out.
